ROUGE VALLEY III
Mixed Media, 15 x 19 inches
This work was inspired by a hike in Rouge National Urban Park in Ontario in late fall. My walk took me past this grove of Sumac trees and into a clearing.
“There are forms that can only be seen when you are near a canvas, others only appear when you are far away. To paint is to know how to put nothing on a canvas, and have it look like something when you stand back.” – Robert Henri (1865-1929)
